Flexibility and Options
Maple Leaf understands that no two families' schedules are exactly alike, and that already-hectic schedules can become even more so during the summer. We have a number of enrollment options that parents can choose from every day. We also provide for added flexibility during the summer.
Daily Choices
A family enrolls their child at Maple Leaf by contracting for a regular weekly
schedule, with a minimum of 15 hours per week You can pick the schedule that
works for you. We offer four options:
- Mornings: 8:00 am - 1:00 pm.
- School Day: 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
- Full-day: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
- After-school care for Thetford Elementary School Families: 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm .
(Note that these spaces are limited.)
Sample Schedules: A family might establish their weekly routine by contracting for care from 8-1 on Monday and Tuesday, 8-3 on Wednesday and Thursday, and 8-5 on Friday. Another family might use the flexible schedule for only three weeks of care, while still another will choose four.
Some families need care as early as 7:30 on some days; Maple Leaf can make arrangements for early drop-off when it's necessary.
Seasonal Options:
While all families have the option of year-round enrollment, Maple Leaf also provides
the option of increasing or decreasing care in the summer months.
We enable families to choose :
- Year-round enrollment. according the flexible schedule that Maple Leaf Provides.
- School-year Enrollment. This is a 42-week session that corresponds with the regular school year at Thetford Elementary. The school year begins the last week of August and ends in mid-June; enrollment for the school year begins March 1.
- Summer enrollment: Maple Leaf has a special program for families that either need care only in the summer, or only on certain weeks during the summer. The nine-week summer session runs from the third week in June through the second week in August. During this time parents can sign up by the day, eliminating the need to pay for times when the family is on vacation or when kids have other summer activities. While we find that a regular schedule works best for children, this option allows families to take advantage of time to be together in the summer without having to commit to being in two places at once. Enrollment for the summer begins April 1.
